I still remember how it felt to have a flood of leads pouring in but only a drop in conversions. It was frustrating. Imagine spending on ads across Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn, only to get plenty of views and leads, but no buyers! For months, I wrestled with this problem, tweaking my approach over and over again, trying to figure out what I was missing.
These strategies changed the way I think about people!
Then, everything changed. Things started to fall into place when I changed my approach. These strategies changed the way I think about connecting with people.
1. Build Trust
This was my first big realization: If people don’t trust you, they’ll never buy from you.
I used to pitch my products and services to people, just like many others do today. I thought it was the most efficient way to convert leads—but it wasn’t. I ended up wasting both money and time. That’s when I realized I needed to take a step back and focus on building genuine trust. Here’s how it works:

Autem dolore, alias, numquam enim ab voluptate
Provide Valuable Content:
I started sharing posts, videos, and guides that genuinely helped my audience solve problems. It’s not about selling; it’s about giving.
Success Stories:
When I highlighted how others had succeeded with my help, people stopped seeing me as "just another salesperson" and started seeing me as someone who could truly deliver results.
Be Genuine and Sincere:
I learned to show my human side—sharing my own journey, admitting mistakes, and being honest about what I could do.
When you focus on building trust, leads won’t just engage with your content—they’ll reach out to you. They’ll want to work with you because they’ll feel like they already know you.
2. Personalize: Speak to Their Hearts
I’ll admit, I tried the 'spray and pray' approach—you know, sending generic emails to everyone. It didn’t work.
People want to feel like you get them, not like just another name on a list.
So, I did this by:
Customizing Offers:
Instead of sending out the same message to everyone, I separated my leads and personalized my recommendations to suit each individual situations.
Addressing Pains:
I started asking myself, What keeps this person up at night? and speaking directly to that.
Focusing on Their Goals:
Instead of talking about what I offered, I talked about what they wanted to achieve and how I could help them get there.
3. Follow-Up
Most conversions happen after the fifth follow-up. I didn’t believe it at first either. But then I looked at my own process and realized I was giving up way too soon.
Email Campaigns:
I stopped sending "just checking in" emails and instead focused on delivering value at every stage. Each follow-up included a tip, insight, or resource to keep the conversation going.
4. Create Urgency
Here’s the thing about leads: they’re busy, distracted, and overwhelmed with options. Sometimes, even when they’re interested, they need a little nudge to take the next step. I started experimenting with ways to motivate them to act, like:
Time-Sensitive Offers:
Limited-time discounts or bonuses gave people a reason to act sooner rather than later.
Revealing Missed Opportunities:
I’d share examples of people who delayed and missed out to encourage others to act on time. These small tweaks can make a big difference.
